Within a few short years, Rob Whyte has built an impressive standing within the drift community. Starting at Archerfield Full Lock Motorsport Park in a road registered and completely standard Nissan 350Z, Rob began to hone his skills and it was at this venue that he met his now team owner Hiro Sakane. 

It was actually many years prior that Rob began to understand the fine art of car control. It began at the go kart track, where many top drivers have started their careers. This became his first introduction to the ability to control oversteer. This was of particular importance at wet track days, with Rob being a self funded driver - he could only afford wet weather tyres for the front! So with slicks on the back, controlled sliding became a necessity of racing!

Rob and Hiro have worked together over the years to build an extremely competitive vehicle and a formidable team. With the backing of both Motul Performance Motor Oil and Nismo Competition Parts, the 350z has now been highly modified to the tune of 380HP thanks to the addition of a Rotrex Supercharger. 

After a succesful 2009 season, Rob has set his sights on taking out the 2010 Stadium Drift Pro Tour.  It's going to be an amazing year and with the new partership with Monster Energy, we are very excited at what's to come.
